Hot , cold, heat weld
Application techniques
One of the benefits of modified systems is they can be applied with traditional hot asphalt, cold adhesive or even heat welded. This gives you options depending on the configuration and use of your current facility. Hospitals, for instance, traditionally require heat welded systems in order to reduce the fumes associated with the use of hot asphalt in occupied building situations. On sites that have limited access for heavy equipment, we often utilize cold adhesive or heat welding. On larger open projects, we use hot asphalt as it often more economical, and helps to speed up the overall installation. With modified systems, you have options that we can tailor to fit your specific needs.

Color Choices
Modified Bitumen cap sheets are available in a standard light-grey granulated finish. However, in recent years, the manufacturing community has responded to the need for both highly energy-efficient finishes and color choices for discreet, visible areas of a structure. Today, we have a good selection, and all manufacturers now offer LEED-approved Bright White Cap Sheet options. These systems can also be applied with a smooth-surface cap sheet and a manufacturer-approved high-performance roof coating, and, again, these come in an array of color options.
